MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge 546

Hi there!
It’s time for a new Sketch Challenge on the MFT Blog and today I’m sharing a project, inspired by this week’s sketch, featuring the amazing You Keep Me Afloat and the Beach Bear stamp sets and Die-namics.

To begin, I stamped a bunch of sailboats and the cute animals from the You Keep Me Afloat stamp set (plus a couple of beach accents from the Beach Bear stamp set) and colored them with Copic Markers, before die-cutting them using the matching Die-namics.

Next, I used the smaller circle die from the Inside & Out Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics to die-cut six circles out of Heavyweight Translucent Vellum, three out of Summer Splash Prestige card stock and three out of Chantilly Cream card stock. Then, I used the Slimline Ocean Motion Die-namics to die-cut the waves and the Stitched Slimline Snow Drifts Die-namics to die-cut the sand hills, layering each one of them on a die cut vellum circle to create six summer scenes.

I adhered the six circles on a square card front, following the sketch, and trimmed down the excesses on both sides.

Finally, I heat embossed the sentiment in white on a strip of Butterscotch Prestige card stock and foam mounted it in the middle of my card, adding all the stamped images on my six summer backgrounds to complete the look.

Now it’s your turn!
Are you ready to play along with us?
