Hi there!
It’s time for a new sketch challenge on the MFT Blog and today I’m sharing a card inspired by this week’s sketch, featuring the Balloon Besties stamp set and the Slimline Starter Die-namics.
I started to work on this card by die-cutting the slimline stitched panel out of white card stock, using the Slimline Starter Die-namics. Next, I cut out a circle window in the middle of it using one of the dies from the A2 Circle STAX Die-namics.
Then, I used Sno Cone Card Stock to create the card base, slightly bigger than the stitched panel, and one of the beautiful patterned paper sheets from the Gift Wrap Paper Pad to create the background.
I mounted the stitched panel on my card front, using foam tape for dimension and added the patterned paper panel behind the window, using a vellum layer to mute the colors a bit.
I stamped and colored the cute images from the Balloon Besties stamp set and used the coordinating Die-namics to cut them out.
Finally, I heat embossed the sentiment on a strip of Butterscotch Prestige Card Stock and adhered it on my card front along with all the stamped images to complete the sweet scene.
Now it’s your turn!
I hope you’ll play along with us!
